There is continued debate surrounding the well-being of today’s children. Are children today better off than they were 20 years ago? Studies continue to be conducted to get a snapshot of the status of today’s youth. These studies not only look at behavior, but also look at other key domains, such as family, social environment, economic circumstances, health care and education. The findings of these reports assist researchers to better understand children today so that recommendations for a better future could be sought.
Explain the importance of studying such factors. And, discuss whether you think America’s children are better off today than they were in the 1990s. Be specific and include example when appropriate. Your group and section is as follows:
